Conducting one's self in the classroom is imperative to how a classroom operates. It is instructed in most classroom settings that a student remains quiet and attentive during class. These basic rules are have been put in place since kindergarten for a specific reason. This is so learning is most efficient during instructional times. Teachers come into class expected students that take their education seriously enough to be quiet and attentive regardless of the circumstances. If these rules are not followed, the students in the classroom can not and will not learn efficiently. Another downside of not being cooperative in class is confusion. Kamryn Barnes Mr. Rease AP Eng 11 "His life, after ten destructive years of war, had then been punctured by the sharp thorns of love." Pg. 94 5. This quote can be connected to how modern soldiers often feel like when returning home after the Bush Wars for example. Many soldiers feel that war had played a huge role in their recent divorces or relationship problems because of unhealthy coping mechanisms for PTSD or depression. War led to the puncturing of all relationships they had pre-war. 1. This quote also relates to Irony. This is because after all of the years of war and the damage it had done, it was the impact of Kien's love life that was the most damaging to him. The quote shows that death was not the only bad outcome from the war, but also love.
"Infant Joy" and "Infant Sorrow" by William Blake are both very similar poems. In one instance, both poems are linked to the joy of childbirth. Although the mood of "Infant Sorrow" is significantly different, there is still an atmosphere of happiness in the story it is trying to tell. These two poems are also both told moments after the infant had been born. The feelings are new, positive or not, and add to the effect of the poem. This is a great linking factor to both poems. Although these poems are very alike, they also share vast differences. The most obvious difference is the mood and tone of each poem. While "Infant Joy" is told in a jovial manner, "Infant Sorrow" emphasizes on the discomfort and sorrow that the newborn feels. Also, while "Infant Joy" focuses on the happiness of the newborn itself, the only traces of happiness in "Infant Sorrow" are the crying parents, happy that their child is finally...
