Technology does not distract students. Many online educational online videos such as Kahn Academy help students get the help that they need in certain classes. Students can receive help from the internet and score higher on tests because of technology. There are also certain programs like Remind that allows teachers to contact students via group message. This way students can receive personal help on at-home assignments and ask the teacher questions after instructional school time. Individuals may say that technology has too many social sites and new propaganda that can distract children. However, there are many time management apps that keep individuals locked out of social sites so that they can use their devices to further their personal education. Technology is a contribution to the advancement of more efficient teaching and learning.

Kamryn Barnes Mr. Rease AP Eng 11 19 November 2016        The novel, The Sorrow of War , was a novel about the struggles of  a Vietnamese soldier named Kien. The novel told stories of love and loss and how different people cope with the aftermath. The point of view constantly shifts and is sometimes incoherent. The novel is even so witty as to have been out of order just as Kien's attempt at a novel had been. This book was a controversial, however effective portrayal of the Vietnam War. It had exceeded beyond my initial expectations as a historical novel and as a work of fiction entirely.        My initial reaction to such a grim book was pure horror. There were many unpleasant scenes within the book that had been hard to read. However, although these events were indeed horrific and graphic, they were realistic and add substance to the book. Kamryn Barnes Mr. Rease AP Lit 12 Death of a Salesman The social commentary behind this book at such an early timeframe (1940s) where the American Dream was still highly marketed speaks volumes about the boldness of Arthur Miller and how deeply he believed the public needed to hear the message. I greatly admire Miller’s controversiality, knowing that the play had the possibility of not being widely received by the public. This book is a literary feat that stands alone, forever timeless, as a work of art with a profound message. Death of a Salesman is a play that will tell the truth many may not want to hear, and it does so with a mix of both boldness and subtlety.
