I have many strengths as a reader and writer. One of those strengths includes my ability to conprehend advanced texts easily in a classroom setting. I am also able to draw differemt abstract meaning from the same texts when analyzing the said passage. Although these strengths are very helpful, there are also some aspects of reading that I need to improve on. This includes the speed that I read passages. Due to the fact that passages on AP exams are lengthy and timed, it is best to gain the skill of reading and comprehending in a timely manner. This way scores on these aspects of the exam are likely to be higher than a what a slow reader may make. Another weakness in reading includes the ability to breakdown older texts as quickly as it takes to breakdown contenporary texts. If I am able to master this skill, comprehension of any text overall will be easier and better.
